Software AG has joined hands with Software & Support Media as the co-sponsor of JAX Innovation Award 2007. By setting up the awards Software & Support Media intends to boost the potential of trend-setting European projects on Java, Eclipse and SOA, awarding 20,000 euros to the projects and providing them with enhanced visibility.
Everyone interested may nominate projects for the award. No matter if you are the originator, user or fancier of an innovation – as long as you think that a certain innovation is worth submitting – your contribution to the award is always welcome! Companies, individuals, universities and research institutions or any other organization may send in nominations. The ‘only’ important criterion is that it has to be a contribution to the world of Java, Eclipse or SOA. Thy jury’s decision is based on the ingenuity, creativity, elegance and practical relevance of the contribution. The deadline for submissions is 19 March 2007.

The awards, which are now in its second year, take place during JAX 2007, the leading European conference on Java enterprise technologies from 23-27 April in Wiesbaden, Germany. JAX 2007 will be held in parallel to Eclipse Forum Europe, the conference on Eclipse and related technologies; and Enterprise Architektur Konferenz, the conference on enterprise architecture. The three conferences attracted more than 1,600 visitors in 2006.
